ABOUT

Our Vision

Working to create a world where the poorest of the poor have access to daily essentials needed for living life with dignity, one community at a time.

Our Story

While visiting the impoverished community of Bombo, Uganda in 2006, God aligned the hearts of four people who refused to turn a blind eye to the tragedy surrounding them. Through a shared vision to offer hope and promote change, Align International was born.

Overwhelmed by orphans and widows, Uganda is a country where the majority of its citizens are trapped in a cycle of poverty with limited to no resources to help them break free. With 70% of its population under the age of 25 (CIA World Factbook 2019) and standing as the world’s third poorest country (Focus Economics), the road ahead is long. It is also full of hope.

Today, Align continues to bring people together across the world with one common goal: to make a difference in the lives of thousands of desperate children. Through the generosity of faithful donors, Align’s main focus is to “look after orphans and widows in their distress,” (James 1:27) by providing basic necessities, spiritual support, and education that will equip them to live independent lives that honor God and impact their communities.
