Life Homes

Providing Safe Housing to Children in Need

We make sure each child in our Sponsorship Program lives in a safe, secure, and loving home that will support their physical and spiritual growth. Any child needing an alternative living situation is offered full-time boarding at a school campus, placement with a loving foster family, or long-term care at our Life Home Village.

What are Life Homes?

The Life Home Village is a place where children thrive. It’s a place where abused, neglected, and abandoned children are provided with the loving care and attention every child needs.

When our Sponsorship Program started in 2006, we quickly saw the lives of each child begin to improve, simply by receiving daily food, clean water, basic health care, and education. Just as quickly, our partners at Bombo Pentecostal Church recognized that some children did not progress at the same rate as others. We soon realized that the children still struggling had unstable home environments, often enduring physical, mental, or emotional abuse. BPC and Align worked together with their sponsors to build a home for these children so that all sponsored children could thrive. In 2012, our first Life Home was completed, followed by our second in 2013.

After witnessing the transformation that took place in the lives of the children living in the first two Life Homes, BPC and Align started to envision a Life Home community. And so, the Life Home Village was born. It is one of the biggest projects we have accomplished together and could only be realized through the generous support of our faithful donors.

Daily Life at the Village

Housing up to 40 children, the Life Home Village is a refuge for children where they are cared for physically, emotionally, and spiritually. With four homes in total, each one has a designated caretaker who is dedicated to providing a loving family environment.

Equipped with Life Skills

Children at the Life Home Village are given daily responsibilities to help teach vital life skills and encourage them to work together--something they will take with them into adulthood and their future spheres of influence. Combined with spiritual mentorship, a quality education, and stable home life, we are confident these children are being equipped with the tools necessary to transform their community and the nation of Uganda in the future.

The Future of the Life Home Village

We hope to expand the Life Home Village and continue our legacy as a God-centered pillar of the community. By adding a playground, sports equipment, and a community center, the Life Home Village will offer dedicated spaces for growth, learning, and play.  With your help, we will be able to provide a safe haven for the children currently living in the homes and for those who will call it home in the future.

Build a legacy in Uganda by helping us expand our Life Home Village, giving hope and housing to abused, neglected, and abandoned children.

A Life Transformed

Godfrey Ssekito

Godfrey was brought to the attention of our BPC partners in 2014.  As the eldest boy of a child-led home of four, Godfrey spent his days searching for food and other essentials to help his siblings survive. In 2014, God blessed the entire family when all of them were sponsored through our program! Soon after, all four children were enrolled in school and moved into Life Homes where God continued to build Godfrey up as a young man of character.

Today, with the help of his sponsors and our generous Scholarship Program supporters, Godfrey is in his final year at Gombe Community Polytechnic School where he is studying towards a certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics. We have already witnessed Godfrey’s incredible commitment to care for his siblings, and we look forward to seeing how God uses him to make an impact in his community.
