What is the Scholarship Program?
Align provides the opportunity for all our children to learn a job skill through university degrees, trade schools and other training programs. This allows them to make a living and care for themselves, their families and their communities.
Scholarships in Action
Sponsored as a child through Align, Millie is our Sponsorship Coordinator. Through generous donations she was granted a scholarship, graduated from college, and now uses her time and talents to care for the children in our Sponsorship Program. Find out more about Millie by watching her story!
Scholarships Change Lives
Scholarships
Provide for student tuition and supplies as they continue their education at a trade school or college. Having a job skill will not only provide a means to make a living but also provide for their families and communities.
Align currently operates a single training program with the hope of establishing more programs that will serve the community and promote self-sustainability.
Seamstress Training Program
Hope4Women, Bombo Pentecostal Church, and Bay Cities Community Church in Lomita, CA had partnered together to launch a 9-month training program in Uganda. Now the program is overseen Millie Ojera and is under the leadership of our wonderful Teacher Joan. Men and women who receive a scholarship participate in this program and learn professional sewing skills that will equip them for future jobs as seamstresses and tailors.
