ALIGN PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT
Align's 4th annual Dinkin 4 Da Kids pickleball tournament was a "smashing" success! Close to 100 players and guests had a blast playing and watching pickleball, indulging in Mexican food and drinks, winning items in the raffles and auction, and meeting new friends. The Orange County contingent dominated with three of the four winners coming from down south. The South Bay tribe will be ready for a rematch next year - PADDLE UP!

CHANGE IN PLANS - SIP & STROLL EVENT
We will hold one child sponsorship event for those who are sponsoring children and/or HIV+ widows in our Life With Hope program and those who may be interested in becoming a sponsor. You will have an opportunity to hear from Alex and Millie on how those under sponsorship are thriving, as well as connect with other sponsors.
The "Sip & Stroll" event held Wednesday October 1, 5:30 - 8:00 pm in Rolling Hills Estates at the home of one of the owners of Kellogg Garden Products. Our host, Kathy Kellogg Johnson, will also give us pointers on how to care for your garden in the fall!
Ugandan style food and drinks will be provided

PATRON EVENT
We invite you to hear Alex and Millie speak at The River Church on Sunday October 5. Services are held at 8:30 am at RAT Beach and at 10:30 am in the Catalina Room, 128 S. Catalina Avenue in Redondo Beach.
We will hold a patron event for those who have donated or are interested in learning more about how God is moving through the partnership between Align and our Ugandan partners, especially in the Donela School System. The event will be held Sunday October 5 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm at The River House in Redondo Beach. See the invitation above for more details. Just contact Barbara at [email protected]/310-218-8689 for questions and to RSVP.
A Special Little Lady
We want to give a HUGE shoutout to a delightful girl named Emma. Emma's family has been sponsoring a boy through Align's sponsorship program for a couple years. On her own, Emma made and sold bracelets and lemonade. She raised over $140 which she donated to Align! On top of that, Emma was a volunteer at our pickleball tournament, doing whatever she was asked to do.
KUDOS to Ms. Emma!
