Align Honors Those Who Serve
In Our Homes & On The Battlefield

Align International expresses our heartfelt thanks to those who are serving as moms and in the military across the world to protect freedom. Everything is so appreciated by those of us who benefit from all you do!

Letters from Sponsored Children
We recently sent hand-written letters from Align-sponsored children and HIV+ widows to their sponsors. We have received heart-warming feedback from many of you upon reading the letters. The Durnell family shared that it brought tears to their eyes to read something actually written by their sponsored children. They also followed the instructions accompanying the letter and have sent emails to their sponsored children in reply to these letters.
If you would like to send an email to your sponsored child, please follow the instructions below:
- Log into your account on the Align International website.
- Under the "Actions" drop-down, click "Write a Letter".
- A new page will appear where you can write a letter. You can also upload a photo of yourself and your family which your sponsored child would love to see!
- If you run into problems, just reach out to Summer at summer@aliginternational.
net.
Please know it may take up to six weeks to receive a response due to travel time and limited internet access. When your sponsored child has responded, you will receive an automated email notification with a link to log into your account.
May God bless you for loving those in desperate need in Uganda!

Report on Align Connect - Orange County

We had a wonderful time connecting with supporters in Orange County on May 9 at a lovely event coordinated by our new OC Events Coordinator, Summer Novak. We heard from Brian Meadows, our Chairman of the Board, who reported, "This trip, like all our trips, was awesome! We saw friends that we have been doing life with for over 17 years. We spent time with many of the pastors and their wives, and even played a game of Uno where we all were really able to let our hair down."
Brian highlighted that when they visited Donela Primary School at Kakooge, the team witnessed the head teacher (principal), Jennifer Lokol, telling the students that a local witch doctor had recently kidnapped a child to kill and use their body parts in rituals. Thankfully he was caught and has been sentenced. She cautioned the students that they need to travel in groups to keep themselves safe. This is just one of the dangers children in Uganda face on a daily basis. Click here for more information on witch doctors in Uganda (NOTE: very disturbing video).

Ebola in Uganda
During the last week, many U.S. media outlets reported on the recent Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. The U.S. Department of State has issued a "Do Not Travel" warning for U.S. citizens: "...no American citizens or permanent residents should travel to the DRC, Uganda, or South Sudan for any reason". Officials believe that this rare strain of Ebola which has no approved treatment has spread widely as it has taken a much longer time to identify, so it will take a long time to contain. For more information, please click here.
We ask that you pray for anyone affected by this terrible disease, as well for protection for our Ugandan partners.

2026 Medical Mission
As mentioned above, there has recently been a Ebola epidemic identified in Central Uganda. We ask that you pray for protection for those who may be serving to care for those at the annual Medical Mission held by our friends at Peninsula Community Church. The clinic is scheduled for August 30 - September 4.

Congratulations to the Calhouns!
We congratulate Don and Diana Calhoun for winning the coffee mug and Ugandan coffee for completing the survey to help us better understand our supporter needs. And we thank all of you who took the time to answer our questions. We really do value your feedback, so if you have not yet completed the survey, please click here. It will take 2-3 minutes of your time. Thank you!
