March 2026 Newsletter

THANK YOU for your prayers!

Align International and Team Uganda 2026 sincerely thank all of you who prayed for us while we were overseas. It was a very uncertain and distressing time, especially for the Kong family as they were stuck in Dubai at the beginning of the conflict between Israel/U.S. and Iran. We’re so grateful and relieved to report that Ron, Margaret and Lauren Kong made it back to the U.S. safely one week after they arrived in Dubai; Brian was already on his flight back to New York at the time the unrest began. The rest of us - Will Nicklas and Joe & Barbara Jackson - were able to make it back only slightly delayed via flights that connected through Brussels instead of Dubai. We're grateful for our Align tribe!

AND we could use your prayers again. Nancy Reed will be joining Brian and Stacey Meadows, two members on our Board of Directors, in Uganda from April 14 through April 22. Please pray for a productive and meaningful time in-country as well as for good health and safe travel.

Donela School Enrollment

The current enrollment at all the Donela Schools is as follows:

Donela Primary School - Bombo:  585
Donela Primary School - Wobulenzi:  347
Donela Primary School - Kakooge:  340
Donela High School:  123

Overall enrollment is close to the same as last year. All of us at Align and in Uganda are praying for enrollment to increase as the year proceeds. Growing the number of students will help to keep the schools self-sustaining for years to come - we welcome your continued prayers.

5th Annual Dinkin' for da Kids
Oktoberfest Pickleball Tournament
Sunday September 27, 2026
Palos Verdes Tennis Center

We're mixing things up for this year's 5th annual Dinkin for da Kids pickleball tournament by incorporating some Oktoberfest fun. Feel free to come dressed in your finest lederhosen or dirndl, and enjoy dinking and smashing at the Palos Verdes Tennis Club. Indulge in some bratwurst, pretzels and other goodies after a fabulous day of pickleball. Stay tuned!

2026 Medical Mission

JOIN TEAM BOMBO 2026! We are now accepting applications for this year's medical clinic mission in Uganda! The clinic will be open August 30 - September 4 (not including travel). We're seeking both lay volunteers and medical personnel (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals) to partner with PAG Bombo Church, along with dedicated Ugandan doctors and nurses, in providing essential healthcare to rural communities. This vital annual ministry touches the lives of thousands of people each year. Every patient receives compassionate care, is prayed over, and is given a clear opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus Christ and His saving grace. 

If you're feeling called to serve in this life-changing way—whether through your medical expertise or by supporting non-clinical roles – please prayerfully consider applying.
